Accessibility

Counterpass should be usable by everyone — including people who rely on a keyboard, a screen reader, or larger text. This page sets out the standards we build to, honestly: they are the standards we work to on every screen, not a certified audit result.

What we build to

• Semantic HTML — headings, lists, buttons, links and form controls are real HTML elements, so assistive technology can read and operate them.
• WCAG AA colour contrast — text and interactive elements are designed to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios.
• Keyboard navigation — every interactive element can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone.
• Visible focus states — you can always see which element the keyboard is on.
• Labelled controls — form fields and controls carry labels that assistive technology can announce.

Where we are honest about limits

Counterpass is a young product and we have not yet commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit. We treat accessibility as part of building every screen rather than a separate pass, and we fix problems when they are reported.
